My husband often says to me “I don’t know what I would do without you.” When we have these moments together and he takes the time to affirm my role as a mom, I feel so appreciated.

I love it when he says that to me. It makes me feel like my efforts are noticed even when things might not be all in order around the house or with the kids.

No matter what happened earlier in the day, when my husband gets home and the house is a disaster, the kids are crying and dinner is not ready to go, he completely understands. I am very blessed to have such an understanding husband. And one who appreciates me too.

Our quote for today is:

“To the world you are a Mother, but to your family you are the World.” -Zenaida Hounds

My husband thinks the world of me. He appreciates every little thing I do. Whether it’s making a phone call to the mechanic or doing our daughter’s hair before church or even taking the time to make a batch of cookies during my busy schedule, he lets me know that he appreciates the small stuff along with the big stuff.

Often times, my husband says “I don’t know what I would do without you”. I know then that he really thinks the world of me. He tells me how proud he is of me with how I am raising the children and taking care of so many other different things all at the same time.

He also takes the time to let our daughters know how much he loves and appreciates me. After dinner, he asks the girls to say thank you to mommy for making dinner, and the entire family stands up on their chairs and applauds me for making their meal (even if I burn it, haha!)

After a day filled with housework and chores, my husband encourages our daughters to show appreciation by giving me a hug and having them say, “Thank you mommy,” for all your hard work.

I love that we teach our children how important it is to be appreciative for their mother’s work and to show them how much they appreciate us by words of affirmation and physical touch (hugs and kisses!)

My family doesn’t take my roll as a mom for granted, and I would guarantee yours doesn’t either. They might not say it or show it the same way my family does, but deep down inside your husband and kids think the world of you and you are their hero.

I just want to say one last thing. You are an absolute great mom and you deserve to be applauded for your hard work, patience and perseverance. I applaud you! (And if I was with you right now, I would be standing up on my chair clapping my hands as loud as I could) 🙂

    Keep Smiling,
