Motivational Monday Post 24: Be Strong

I recently wrote a guest blog post about my experiences with natural childbirth, and I focused on encouraging those women who had the desire to deliver naturally.
It can be a scary thing to think about. Pregnant, exhausted, fatigued, weak and drained and then finish it all off with a marathon delivery experience.
But there are women who have a strong desire to bring their child into this world naturally for their own personal reasons. No one needs to know why someone decides to have a natural childbirth, but what we can do is support one another in those big decisions.
I delivered my four daughters naturally but had no intentions on doing that when my husband and I started to talk about having children.
As I became pregnant, my decision began to change, and I made up my mind. When the time came to write out my birth plan, I typed up “I want to delivery my baby naturally without an epidural”.
It was done! Officially, that was my plan and knowing my personality, I stick to my plan.
So I did, I gave birth to all four of my girls following the same birth plan.
Be Strong
If you are encouraged my by story and have the desire to deliver naturally, I support you 100%.
Today’s quote is for you!
“Be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” 2 Chronicles 15:7
You are capable, you are able and you are strong. I know that your body was created in such a way to deliver your baby (without an epidural) and whatever you set your mind to, you can do it!
The best part of childbirth is holding your baby the moment you are done. Your reward is waiting for you at the end. Work hard, don’t give up, push and be fearless!
Take this Bible verse, write it out in big bold letters and place it in your delivery room for all to see. Have your spouse read it over you in times of struggle and have faith in yourself as you get closer to meeting your baby for the first time.
I pray over you now that the rest of your pregnancy is healthy, filled with peace, comfort and joy. I pray that your delivery is pain free, quick and problem free. I pray blessings over you and your baby! Amen.
Keep Smiling,
Dr. Jena Bradley, DPT
