“Difficult Roads Often Lead To Beautiful Destinations. The Best Is Yet To Come” – Zig Ziglar
We don’t know where our life is taking us, and I think that’s the beauty of life. There are so many unknowns and surprises.
Do you ever think back to our past experiences and ponder how life would have been if you didn’t go through that difficult time in your life? I do, quite a bit.
The Difficult Road I Had To Take
Where would I be today if I hadn’t struggled during my childhood move from Maryland to Pennsylvania at the age of 12? I think about that question all the time. My life would have been completely different if my parents had not divorced and I spent my entire childhood upbringing in Maryland.
Instead, my life’s journey took me somewhere else. My mom, brother and I moved to Pennsylvania after my parents divorced. I knew it was a hard decision for my entire family. We struggled to leave our friends. It was difficult to be miles away from my dad. Starting 7th grade in a new school not knowing one single person was scary.
It was a difficult road that I had to take and at the age of 12, it’s hard to know how something like my parents divorce could alter my life completely. Because of the life altering changes that took place during that time in my life, I found my career path in which I sought to enroll into an in-state institution where I met my husband who was the one who led me to accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
A beautiful destination I was able to reach in my life after traveling the difficult road that no one would ever want to take.
If you are on a difficult road right now, try to have hope for what is yet to come. Far better things are ahead.
