“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” -T.S. Eliot
When was the last time you took a risk? Was it yesterday? Was it 6 months ago? Maybe you just completely avoid risks all together. I’m not a risk taker by nature. I like things to be systematic and simple. I like order in my life. If I am presented with something new and risky, I usually avoid it….I think I always avoid it now that I am thinking about it a little more.
Well, except this one time. This one time when I actually took the risk of starting this blog. When I finally made the decision to make my first purchase for the domain livecorestrong.com, I stepped right into a new journey.
This journey of blogging was a risk for me. I am risking my quality time with my spouse. I am taking financial risks by spending my money on the start-up costs to blogging. I am risking getting in over my head with 4 little ones at my feet.
When I decided to start blogging, I really didn’t know what lied ahead. The blog could be a flop. Maybe it can be successful. I could never know for sure, but I do know God knows and I put my faith in Him.
I am so glad I took the risk. I am glad I listened to what God encouraged me to do. I took the step into the unknown and I will have to say I am having a great time and loving every minute of it so far.
You should try taking that chance, trusting in your gut (or trusting your faith if you are a believer) and take the risk and go further than you ever thought you would try to go.
Keep Smiling,
Dr. Jena Bradley, DPT
