Oh, and don’t forget to watch the video so you can see exactly how to put it on the right way.
Wrap 1
Step 1: Get piece #1 and hold it so the straight side is on the bottom and the curved side is on the top.
Step 2: Place it behind your back so the velcro is facing your body.
Step 3: Position the wrap in your mid section so that it’s below your breast bone and just above your panty line.
Step 4: Perform abdominal bracing to draw your belly button in as much as you can before wrapping yourself tight.
Step 5: Take the Right side of the wrap and wrap it around so it’s positioned over your belly.
Step 6: Take the velcro side and wrap that around tightly so it fastens to the right side. The two should meet and cover the front of your belly. If you need to readjust, then slide it so it’s centered over your belly button.
Be sure to readjust throughout the day so it doesn’t continue to ride up to your ribcage. It should be positioned around your belly, specifically your lower belly.

Wrap 1 BACK
Wrap 2
Step 1: Get piece # 2 and hold it so the straight side is on the bottom and the curved side is on the top.
Step 2: Place it behind your back like you did with piece #1, so the velcro is facing your body.
Step 3: Position the wrap lower around your waist and belly, lower than piece #1.
Step 4: Perform abdominal bracing and draw your belly button in as much as you can before wrapping yourself.
Step 5: Take the Right side of the wrap and wrap it around so the velcro will fasten over your belly (you do not want the velcro to fasten on the side of your body).

Step 7: Once the center spine of the wrap is aligned with your own spine, take the right wing to wrap around your side while pulling tightly to fasten above your belly button.
Step 8: Take the left wing and wrap it around your side to fasten below your belly button.

Final Tip For Wearing The 3 in 1 Postpartum Belly Wrap
Most women who wear this 3 in 1 postpartum belly wrap are wearing it wrong. They either have the peices upside down or are placed too high under their breast bone.
Be sure to continue to readjust the wrap throughout the day by pulling the pieces down lower around your waist. As you continue to be more active while wearing the wrap, it will ride up to your ribs, which is not want you want. Each day you wear it, try to wrap it tighter around your body for more compression.

Thank you so much for this blog post! It really helped me understand how to place each piece! Very helpful since there were no directions that came with it. I do have a question! After 48 hours post partum are you supposed to start wearing all 3 of the pieces all together or do you slowly add on a different piece as time goes by? Also would the directions be the same for a c section or should stitching heal before attempting to put this on? Thank you!!
Amber, I’m so glad you found this blog post. I had the same trouble when I got mine so I figured other woman had trouble with it too! Glad it helped. I have another article that will help you with wear time: https://livecorestrong.com/how-long-should-you-wear-a-postpartum-belly-wrap/ Basically, start slowly when you wear it. One at a time. Since you had a c-section, give your doctor a call to make sure he/she approves it for you but most likely they are going to say yes. You should be good to go now and wear the first wrap for about 1 week, then add the second wrap for week 2 and then the 3rd wrap for week 3 (so by that time you are wearing all 3 wraps). Hope that makes sense! Let me know if you have any more questions! Congratulations by the way.
I’ve read that to mitigate the long term risk of prolapse, you should wrap up not wrap down, but this post seems to counsel the opposite? Can you clarify re long term prolapse effects?
Katherine, If you are already experiencing prolapse, I would not use a wrap at all. If you have a history of prolapse, I would not use the wrap.
