You’re now pregnant and looking to stay fit and active throughout your pregnancy. It’s hard to know what exercises are safe and not safe to do, especially if you are on YouTube looking for a workout video.

You want to be sure you are picking the right one so you don’t hurt yourself or your baby when you work out.

I’m a physical therapist and mom of 4, and I know which exercises are safe to do during pregnancy. I wanted to provide you with a list of my favorite prenatal workout videos FREE on YouTube.

Enjoy working out to these top 10 prenatal workouts from fitness professionals who also were pregnant during these workout routines. 

 

1. 10 Minute Prenatal Bodyweight Workout for All Trimesters of Pregnancy

 

This ten minute workout uses bodyweight moves to strengthen and tone your muscles, while getting your heart pumping for cardio, all in a safe, but effective way designed for pregnancy.  No equipment required and appropriate for all trimesters of pregnancy, and all fitness levels.

2. 10-Minute Prenatal Pilates Workout

In the third video of our Prenatal Pilates series, pre/postnatal Pilates expert Robin Long of The Balanced Life leads us through a 10-minute prenatal Pilates workout. 

This workout is safe and effective for all trimesters of pregnancy and provides modifications for all fitness levels.

    3. Bump’n Body Prenatal Workout With Kat & Kristina | Tone It Up!

     

    This routine focuses a lot on your postural muscles because these are so important during both your pregnancy and postnatal stages. We’ll also be working your cute booty and strengthening your arms for when you’ll be lifting your baby! And then we’ll end with a stretch that feels amaaaazing! This routine is perfect for all trimesters, but of course, make sure to check with your doctor before participating in any exercise program, and go at your own pace.

    4. 9 Minute Prenatal Arm Workout | 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Trimester of Pregnancy

     

    The 9 minute prenatal arm workout that will tighten and tone lean arms while you are pregnant. Get rid of that “under arm jiggle” with this at-home arm workout safe for the 1st trimester, 2nd trimester and 3rd trimester of pregnancy.

    5. 15-Minute LOW IMPACT HIIT Cardio Workout | No Jumping Workout + Pregnancy Workout/Prenatal Workout

     

    Ok, so this is not 10 minutes but 15 minutes. This was too good not to include in this list. It’s such a great cardio workout that is safe for pregnant women and really gets your heart pumping.

    This is an oldy but a goodie. If you are looking for a great leg workout to do in 10 minutes on YouTube, this is the one.

    7. 10-Minute Prenatal Yoga Flow | Health

    Prenatal yoga is a great way to keep in shape and prepare your body for birth, both physically and spiritually. This workout video is safe to do for the first, second and the third trimester. This is a great way to strengthen and stretch your body at the same time.

    8. 10 Minute Labor Inducing Workout! Exercises to Prepare Your Body For Labor & Delivery

    As stated by Amy on her channel, this 10 minute workout uses gentle moves to prepare your body for labor. All of these exercises are safe to do during pregnancy, as long as you have been cleared by your doctor or midwife for exercise. Exercise is recommended to naturally induce labor; however, there is no guarantee. Please only attempt to induce labor if your doctor or midwife has agreed you are ready (usually 37 weeks and beyond).

    9. The Perfect Pregnancy Workout – Full Body Prenatal Exercise Routine

    If you are looking for a gentle prenatal workout, this workout is perfect for you.  This full body prenatal workout will help you strengthen and stretch, giving you an effective exercise routine that is safe during pregnancy. The exercises are meant to help you prevent diastasis recti (separated abs) and improve any low back pain you might be having.

    This prenatal workout routine is my absolute favorite workout that I did during my 4 pregnancies. It incorporates exercises for the deeper layer of your abs, your outer and inner thighs, quads, hamstrings, glutes and your upper body as well. As a physical therapist, I know which exercises are safe to do and which exercises are the most important for pregnancy and labor.
