I know it can be really hard, and I definitely know that there are excuses for why we, moms, don’t workout. I have been there many times before, and honestly I have been there lately.

What are my excuses, my excuses for not getting my workout in? Well, to be transparent with you all, my excuses are as follows:

  • Homeschooling my 4 year old daughter first thing in the morning after we eat breakfast and getting ready takes precedent to my workouts, because I know my daughter is most alert first thing after breakfast time which makes for a more enjoyable learning experience for her and me.

  • Feeding my 4 girls breakfast at different times in the morning because their schedules have been rather inconsistent lately now that the sun is shining earlier each morning. Breakfast time seems to last as long as 2 hours some days. Sounds crazy but it’s really true.

  • Getting off of my normal sleep routine for some random reason. If I go to bed too late working on my next blog post, for example, and then wake up too late because I hit the snooze button way to many times, then I end up missing my workout. My perfectly designed morning routine went way out the window, and I can’t seem to catch up on my mornings. Then I can’t find time to squeeze my workout in.

  • I’m utterly exhausted by the time the kids go to bed at night to get my quick workout in, and I tell myself I deserve a break and deserve to rest after the constant running around with 4 kids at my side.

But did you know this one thing….

“A 30 minute workout is 2% of your day. No Excuses.”

That’s right…no excuses!!!

Get the kids involved in your workout, do 30 minutes of a kid friendly exercise routine that the entire family can do together. Don’t let your kids get in the way. Don’t let your kids be the excuse to not workout but let them be the excuse TO workout.

You have this desire inside of you to set a good example for your kids. A desire to teach them health and fitness at a young age so that someday they can have the drive that you once did (and maybe still do).

Let’s get that drive back and continue pressing in to our fitness goals. Schedule that 30 minutes of time into your ever-changing mom schedule and make it happen one way or another.

If you are really motivated to get your workouts in and want to commit  2% of your day towards working out, then you will really want to start with this Total Body Workout that I created specifically for moms to enjoy.
